Cheating the test

Well, I just dug around and looked at the XML and BIN files. The XML is a bit scary - says right there what the correct answer is. Not good. So I tried w/o title manager. The bin file is a lot better - took me a while knowing just what I was looking for to find out how the correct answers were encoded. MS Word did not show anything but Notepad does. I had no idea. So, in summary, what we can do today is:1. Publish using the Title Manager Frames so that most of the HTML is hidden in IE.2. Use obscure names - not related to the course.3. Publish NOT using (unchecking) the JavaScript Title Manager.4. Do some of your own encrypting putting very little meaningful info in the question wizard. This makes the feedback on the results page not very useful but helps if you are just running pure assessments:- Put the question text and choices text outside the question wizard in separate text boxes. - In the question wizard only use A, B, C, D, ... and make ALL the questions have the same question text - "A". Then the XML becomes much less usable.Edited By: Ben Pitman on 2007-5-30 11:47:11
