Changing the name of a chapter.

When creating a new CBT using the title wizard, it prompts you to name your chapters. However, i tried to rename a few chapters once i started adding my content and i wasn't able to. It it possible to rename chapters after a new title has been created? When creating a new CBT using the title wizard, it prompts you to name your chapters. Thanks for your suggestions but the problem lies with the actual button that is created when naming a chapter in the title wizard. I can change the name of the chapter in the left pane yes, but i want to rename the button and i am unable to.Thanks for your suggestions but the problem lies with the actual button that is created when naming a chapter in the title wizard. I dont think i am explaining myself very well, Its very hard to describe unless i show it to someone, i'll figure it out.........hopefully
Sure,Just rename the chapter itself and then depening on the wizard you used you will have to change the text block/menu on the first page also. The wizards do not create "intelligent" titles such that you can change the Chapter name and all similar references to it get automatically updated. The wizards are there as a quick wqay to establish a framework for your title. Once it's cretaed, it's no different then if you created the title from scratch.Tim V.
Hi Posey,Thanks for the feedback, but i think i found an easier way. I just create titles with no chapters and just one page, then add pages and chapters as i go, then once i've completed the content, i use the button wizzard to create my chapter buttons and add actions so they all work. This way, you can also make them any color, use any font, and size. And it's a lot easier than editing the original buttons.
I figured out how to do it. You have to copy the old button image into Fireworks, then edit it. Save the new image to your Lectora image file. Then create a new botton and you get the new image by using the Import button in the Button properties pop up windown. I hope that's clear.I figured out how to do it. I understand your question. I had to start over after developing a couple of pages because I had misspelled a chapter title name. I could not find a way to edit the button name. If you have found an answer, please post it.I understand your question. I had to start over after developing a couple of pages because I had misspelled a chapter title name.
