Changing a video display image
May 23, 2013 12:00 AM
Hi all,
I'm using Camtasia Studio 8 on Lectora Inspire and I wanted to change the image that is displayed on my video. I want to choose a point in the video and use that as the display image so it could be more attractive to look at than the current black screen at 0:00. Could anyone help me? Thanks!

@mmonzeob, in your situation, it is easier to replace the image, not a piece of the code.
I was searching the same thing, and I finally found out how to do it.
Open the html of that slide
search a line like this:
video6537.addParm( "" )
put there the file of the image you want.
You have to change this code every time you refresh your files.
Why do you think that? is not the same effect at all
I just go to the point in my video where I want the entrance image from (move my scrubber to that point in the video). Then I go to File - Produce Special - Export Frame As ....then it lets me save that frame as a PNG file.
When I produce my video, I use Custom Production....in the Controller Tab, there is an option called Start Thumbnail. I browse for that PNG file that I created (from the video frame) as my Start screen.
Hope that helps!
