Change Contents Action on a Delay

I am attempting to utilize three images on a page. I want to start with one have it convert to a second, and then have the second convert to the third. When I attempt to do this, it works from one to two, but from two to three, i am left with both image two and three.I am attempting to utilize three images on a page.
