I would test this way. Put up a test course with a couple of questions. Include some displays in the course that Display AICC_Course_Status and AICC_Lesson_Status On show on the first page before anything else so you can see what is going on.Register for the course and do what you need to do to "complete" the course. Then enter again and see what displays. Note that Lectora tests are case sensitive so that Completed is not the same as completed.
