build a FAQ screen

I don't have any pre-built templates, but I have an idea on what you can do for your FAQ. I borrow this from a concept I learned in Lectora training.Sadly, I don't know the exact details on how to do this. If I can find the time today, I can try a little experiment and capture the details. Otherwise, I'll leave you with the theory and leave the hard work to you or someone else. The concept is that you create a page just for the FAQ. It is in the format of:QuestionAnswerblank space*QuestionAnswerblank space* Make sure that the blank space after the question is set up so that every question is the same distance from the next question. For example, make each text box exactly 400 pixels high with Y values of 10, 410, 810, etc. This allows someone to scroll up and down to read all the FAQ questions in one sitting if he chooses. This page is not immediately available. It is kept at the end and does not have any navigation leading up to it. There is no template. Make it a nice solid cornflower blue or something. On your navigational FAQ page, you present the topics (which are the questions in the previous page mentioned). It'll probably look better in two columns, but if you don't have that many questions, then one column may look better. Each question is a hyperlink. When you click on a hyperlink, it opens the FAQ page in a new window. Set the height to a fixed amount so that it shows only one question. I suggested earlier having a question text box be 400 pixels high. Using that example, the new window should be 400 pixels high and wide enough to show your entire text. Set the hyperlink to open this window and to scroll down to the question. This is where I'm hazy and cannot offer you any technical advice. I know it can be done, but I forget where you set this up.The end result is that when the user clicks on a link, the project immediately opens a new window that is large enough for the question. It shows only the question. The user can close the window and click on another link, or the user can scroll up and down in the window to see all of the questions. That's one way to skin this cat.Kevin
