Bookmarks to resume learning session

I'm using Publisher for the first time and could use some sage advice. I have created a login screen using a hidden dropdown box, entry field and action group. When a text entry matches a drop-down box entry, a Next button appears allowing the user to continue.

When someone exits the course, I'd like to be able to add a bookmark button, allowing them to return to that page when they come back. Can I base this on their login information? Several people will be accessing the same module (no LMS) so differnt users will be returning to different pages.

Any ideas?

Thanks for taking the time to offer ideas. I've been reading the forum most of the afternoon and have found a lot of good ideas/help so far.

in assessments, we have 100 questions.. the bookmarking works fine when you exit the browser or the exit button. but if you're taking the assessment and you lost internet connection all your answered questions will be lost and need to retake it again going back to question # 1. Is there any possible way for this so that your last action will be bookmarked and continue answering when you get the internet connection back.
