Blurry pics/clipart issue

I have a PowerPoint and am trying (with permission of the author) to move some of the clip art and words to Lectora X (they are kind of together anyway. I have tried snipping and saving as a jpeg, png or gif file. I have tried snipping and just pasting. I have tried copying the ppt box to the Lectora page. But everything is coming out looking fuzzy.

A couple of things - it looks fine in Lectora. It looks bad in browser mode. and it looks horrid after being published and launched. Any ideas of how I can make this better? I really want to get it right for the customer, but I don't know what else to try.

A note about me - I'm fairly new to this and am learning. Just to let you know my level of "knowledge."
