Audio on/off

Give me a little more info on what is going on in the cours and maybe I can be more helpful :) It works on every page but the one on which the switch is pressed. It appears that once the page has loaded (shown?), the die is cast and the sound either goes or doesn't depending on the state of the variable when things loaded.I'm not sure that's any more clear, but I hope so.
