1. Yes, one reason it could be, is because of the way security settings are handled between IE6/7 when running locally. Have you tried it on a web server? Also is your windows media player updated to a newer version? There are some issues with older versions working with IE7.2. I don't have Lectora in hand currently (its at work), but you could convert the audio to an flv file in Lectora 2008 and add audio cues.Another way is to throw it into flash, and have it dynamically load based upon the page name and the variable and have flash listen to the audio events to see when it ends. That would accomplish the same thing.
