Audio captions "black box"

Hi, all. A member of my team is adding captions to audio files (and we're using Lectora's audio player). The problem he's seeing is that once the XML file is attached, the black box above the player--the one where the captions appear when captions are enabled--doesn't ever go away, even when captions are turned off via the CC button. My question is, does the black box always appear, by default, if a caption file is attached to the audio, even if the user turns the captions off? Does anyone know how we can make it only appear if CC is set to "on"? Thanks in advance for any help. -Lisa

It sounds like your experiencing an issue with your XML file or video file which is making the player not work correctly. I would suggest submitting a support ticket using the "Submit a Support Ticket"button on the right hand of the screen under the Active Users box or going here http://trivantis.com/contact-support. They should be able to investigate the files and see if there's something amiss.

I've tested with an audio file and the "CaptionsSample.xml" Lectora provides. The black undefined is always visible. The only settings in the xml that are working are "beginn" and "end". The stylings in the xml are not interpreted. There are some breaks in the sample file which are not interpreted either.

Thank you, Jennifer and Tim! Appreciate your replies. I'll put in a support ticket.
