Animation/timed displays/click to view first visit, next display all?

I am currently updating a course in which there is a great amount of text (I was not the originator of this course). It actually lends itself well to a script for audio purposes, but unfortunately I do not have time right now to add this due to time restraints - I have not had the chance to work with much audio/recording in the past and can't afford a learning curve right now. To compensate, I am letting the user control what they see on each page by timed delays/animations and inserting links or graphics that they can click to view additional information. However, if they are simply going back to review a page, is there a way to avoid them having to go through all that again, perhaps by applying a function? To clarify further, a user must click all options on each page (where applicable) before they can continue.
