AICC and SumTotal

Hi all,
I'm trying to figure out how to publish to AICC from Lectora and make the SumTotal LMS recognize multiple assignable units. This works when I publish/upload the course as SCORM, where the LMS acknowledges each unit, and SumTotal reflects completion status and progress for each unit.
After publishing to AICC, I tried deleting the "crs" folder with the usual 4 AICC files (crs, des, au, cst), and the course still sent completion status and scores to the LMS. When I publish, all files are on a web content server, and I'm adding the launch URL to the SumTotal learning activity.
I also tried publishing to AICC as a zip file (as one would a SCORM package) and uploaded to the system, but I'm prompted for the launch file. I add the file name, but still no luck.
Anyone have this issue? Am I missing something?
