Acknowledgment Checkbox

I need to do a simple course that doesn't have a test, simply a checkbox for the student to check that acknowledges they read and understand the information. I've added the checkbox form control to the page, but what is my action on select/change? Submit something I assume. What would my target be? I assume I must need to add a variable? I'm using Lectora v9 and SumTotal LMS. Any help would be appreciated.
